Meakin J.G. Replacement China

Meakin J.G was an English pottery manufacturing company founded in 1851 by brothers James and George Meakin in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Meakin J.G. became well-known for producing large quantities of ironstone dinnerware, which catered to the domestic market and was exported to countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. In 1968, J. & G. Meakin acquired Midwinter Pottery, and two years later, it became part of the Wedgwood Group. Production under the Meakin name ceased in 2000, and the long-standing Eagle Pottery works were demolished in 2005.
